What Valentines Day Is Really About

Hey guys!

Today is Valentines day, and most of you are probably thinking candy, card, and dates, and I am not saying that is bad, I’m asking y’all what is the real reason that we love each other? Who started this whole love thing? God did!

We love each other because God loved us first.

But let me tell you how he loved us first…..

God made a perfect world in the beginning, there was no such thing as sin, and life was great for Adam and Eve, who were the only people on the earth. Adam and Eve walked with God daily and sin was out of the picture.

Until one day when Satan came into the garden in the form of a snake. He tempted Eve to eat the fruit that God had told them not to.

Eve took the fruit and gave some to her husband, therefore sinning against the God whom they loved.

Now later that day, God came for his daily walk in the garden, he already knew that they had  sinned, but he let them explain.

“Where are you” he said

“I heard the sound of you in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked, and I hid myself.” Adam replied

“Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten of the tree of which I commanded you not to eat?” God asked

 “The woman whom you gave to be with me, she gave me fruit of the tree, and I ate.” Adam answered

Now God could have destroyed Adam and Eve right then and there, but here is where the love part comes in, he loved them so much he sent his only son to die on a cross for every sin committed by man.

That is why we celebrate love on valentines day.
