I tried flying our kite on the garage roof once to catch the breeze. I thought it wouldn’t get stuck in the tree branches if I flew it from the roof since it would be higher up. But alas, I had not considered the electric lines during my kite-flying plans!
I put my plan into action and it started out wonderfully! The kite rose on the most perfect breeze for kite-flying, and gallantly soared yards above the ground. Then it happened. The thing you can never predict. The wind changed its mind, and with it went my kite. My kite flew straight for the electric lines and when they touched, got hopelessly tangled. The kite’s tail continued flutter in the wind hanging down from the wreckage.
A few weeks later the kite was removed by the electric company. The kite may still fly, but it will never look the same.
What is the moral of this story? NEVER FLY A KITE ON THE ROOF!!!!!!!!
