In the hospital

Hi guys! I’m a little late this week. Sorry.

Just when I decide to move posting to a better day, things go crazy!

Life acted normal and innocent enough at first. Classical on Friday, Church on Sunday. Then on Monday we went to the chiropractor, totally normal, except for my sister being sick.

Then Monday night we learned that my Uncle had been unfairly terminated from his job, with limited resources to get back home to California, since he was over 2,200 miles from home.

On Tuesday morning we received an update from my Uncle. He was being required to have all of his belongings out of his truck by 5 pm. Since his car was at his “home” terminal  the other side of the country, and he couldn’t rent a car due to their requirement to accept only a credit card (which he didn’t have) this was definitely a problem. So Mom, wanting to help, started planning to drive and meet up with my Uncle. She called her dad, my Uncle, and my Aunt, to try nailing down a plan, and fast.

While all this was going on, me and my brother had been jumping on the trampoline. When I came in, my eyes went wacky. At first everything looked greenish. That’s pretty normal when you’ve just been outside in bright sunlight, and you come inside and your eyes have to adjust. But then my eyes did something else. One minute everything was clear, then the next everything was blurry.

Wacky eyes led to nausea. Nausea led to throwing up. Then I laid down on the couch and fell asleep.

I don’t remember much of what happened next…

Then I woke up…

I was in a ambulance! I asked my mom things like “Where am I? Why am I here?” And she told me where I was and why. Not long after we got to the hospital and they took me to one of the rooms and I rolled off the stretcher to the hospital bed. And then I fell asleep. I woke up again the next morning still there and then a nurse came in. She said I could go home when the results from some of the tests that they took came back so I decided to watch some cooking shows on the T.V. Then later at about 5:00 pm the tests came back and they said I could go home!

On Saturday my Grandpa, and my Aunt came to visit! Although it was the shortest visit in the world, it was fun!

Also on Wednesday we went to Georgia to go see our doctor to see what happened.  Turns out that it was a concussion… I knew it.

Then on Thursday we went to Knoxville to go see Gwavi, Tauren Wells, Colton Dixon, Britt Nicole, and Skillet. Also we got to have a Q&A with all the artists which was not what I expected. I thought I was going to have a ‘meet and greet’ with the artists but that’s okay… Then on Friday it was back to normal. Just like nothing happened. What a crazy two weeks!
