Hey guys! I’ve been through a LOT of challenging stuff over the past year and a halfish, and it has not been easy at all! For those of you who know me well, you know what I’m talking about but I’m not going to explain all that because (1) the past is the past and it’s gonna stay there, and (2) that’s my business and you don’t need to know it!
But through all that struggle, and pain I’ve learned a few things about God, and trusting Him in all this. I’m hoping and praying that this will help y’all out by sharing what I’ve learned.
HUGE DISCLAIMER!! I am in no way an expert, I am just repeating what God has showed me and He is the ultimate expert (am I right?) SO, hope this helps! 🙂
First, there is no magic formula. Literally, it’s taking the next step in the day. Whether its, the next math problem, or picking up your kids from school, or mowing that next yard, etc etc. Whatever you are needing to get done today, doing that and actively choosing not to think about that thing that is worrying you.
Second, learning as much as you can about God’s character is KEY! Think about it, if you don’t know someone you’re not gonna trust them very easily. The more you know someone, the more you will trust them. So get in the word, find books and articles about God’s character, get to know Him, and as you know Him more, you will begin to trust Him more.
Third, worrying about it is not gonna help at all. You know that God is for you, and He loves you, He wants the absolute best for you, and He is constantly working in your life even if you don’t feel it, and if you didn’t know that, now you do! So, every time that thought comes up, say a quick prayer and tell God how you are feeling and leave it in His hands, don’t try to fix it on your own.
Forth, I’m not the one making the plan, so I don’t need to know it! It’s okay to not know whats gonna happen, I know thats SOOO scary, but it’s okay. Look back on your life, and all the hard times you’ve been through and remember how God has brought you through all those. GOD.IS.FAITHFUL. He is not gonna let you down this time, He will come through every. single. time.
And fifth, its not easy. I’m sorry guys, its really not. Trusting God is the hardest thing in the world to do, yet it’s the most rewarding and strangely peaceful thing to do. I would rather trust God, who I know made the universe and me and knows me inside and out and has the most amazing plan for not only me, but everyone around me than try to do things my own way and get heartbreak after heartbreak.
God is good, He’s got this. It’s gonna be okay.
