Hello! Today is the 20th of December! We are getting so close to Christmas! (Today also is my birthday, but that does not matter.) This morning we have a post from one of my writer friends. Amie Wholeslagle. Enjoy!
- Tell me a little bit about your self, hobbies, family, background, ect. My name is Amie Woleslagle, I’m a writer, reader, artist, musician, and YouTuber. I’m the second oldest of seven kiddos, and we have a rabbit, a dog, two cats, and two fishtanks to finish the zoo. 😉 I’ve been raised in the church, and unless I’ve been extremely sick, I’ve always gone to church Sunday morning, Sunday night, and Wednesday.
- What is your favorite part about Christmas?/ How does it bring home the meaning of Christmas to you? My favorite part of Christmas is probably it being over, or wearing fun clothing. Well…It doesn’t really bring home the meaning, I’m just a really terrible person, and I hate clutter (also known as decorations), and the constant “I need to buy something for someone/what are they getting for me?” mentality of Christmas bothers me. I do enjoy singing Christmas hymns, but I sing them pretty much year round, because we should always remember Christ’s birth.
- What are some of your family traditions? We don’t have traditions. It seems to be my family’s tradition to break traditions. Our life just changes so much from year to year, so we don’t have any traditions that have lasted more than two years.
- What is the best present you have ever gotten, who gave it to you and why did you like it so much? I don’t remember “the best present.”
- Explain your dream Christmas. Very quiet, snow, by myself, or with one person, a pile of books to read, a fire in the fire pit, and lots of coffee and tea.
- Is Christmas your favorite holiday? Why or Why not? No. I don’t like holidays, so I don’t have a favorite. XD
- Which is better: Christmas or Easter? Why? Easter, because I don’t have to decorate, or get presents for people, or worry about everyone asking traditions and plans.
- What are your hopes for this Christmas? That it goes quickly and quietly, without extreme conflict, and that I receive at least one book to read.
Next week I get to do a post, so stick around for that! See you next week!
