Hello to all! I hope that you have had a good week!
As some of you may know I did a series a few months ago. It was called the Friday weekly updates. Any way, one of the posts was called “In the hospital” In that post I said a little bit about my experience in the hospital, but in this post I am going to go into detail about what happened and how it went and what caused it.
On September 19th 2017, I woke up in my bed as normal you know ate breakfast and got started with my school. After I finished my school, I went outside and I decided to jump on the trampoline. So I got on, and I started jumping. Doing flips, cartwheels, and other tricks like that.
Not long after I got on the trampoline my brother got on with me. So we were on the trampoline jumping away. When Kirk (my brother) did this back flip thing, except he would jump up then land on his back and because of the force of the jump he had done, he would flip back words and then land on his feet. So anyway, I tried that, and I got as far as landing on my back. Except, I landed on my neck. I saw some stars, but I didn’t think anything of it. I kept jumping, but then I started to have a head ache. So I went inside. When I got inside, my Mom’s face looked a greenish color, I did not think it was abnormal, I just thought that it was my eyes adjusting to the lighting change. But then my eyes started being really weird. I could barely read, and my head ache got worse.
After a little bit, I went up stairs and laid down on our couch. My head felt like it was going to explode, and so did my stomach. So I laid there on the couch, and after a little while, I got up and ran to the bath room, then I threw up. I went back to the couch, and the last thing I remember, was my sister trying to give me a pill or something…
And then I woke up, in an ambulance!
There Mom was holding my hand, and a voice I did not recognize said “It’s okay.” I was so confused at first I could not say any thing. And then after a little bit, I asked my mom things like ‘where am I?’ and ‘what happened?’. And my mom said “You were calling me and I came to you but you would not respond to me. So we took you to the hospital.”
We were on our way to Mission hospital. Once we got there they took me into a room, and I laid down in the hospital bed. By this time it was pretty late in the night, so as I laid down I tried to go to sleep.
Through the night I did not sleep much. Nether did my Mom, who had stayed with me, sorry mom! 🙁 The next morning mom explained everything that had happened.
Basically, after I had thorn up, I was calling for mom, and my mom would come and hold me but I was still calling for her as if she was not there. So mom and dad took me to the hospital. When we got there the ran some tests but they could not figure out why this was happening, so they put me in an ambulance and took me to Mission hospital.
After mom finished explaining, the nurse said I could go home today. It ended up being a while before we could go home but oh well, at least I got to go home!
The reason why this all happened was I had a concussion. But I am still alive and well. Thank you God!
This has been my story at the hospital, join me again next time when I tell you my school story!
Also, needless to say, the visit was vary expensive, and I wanted to say thank you SO much so the people at Samaritan who gave us money to help us with the cost, I enjoyed reading the letters from you guys. Thank you SO much!
Stay awesome, stay sweet, and always put God first in your life!
Ellie
